With the introduction of our new revamped whitepaper that detailed the first season of Planet IX: Waters of Genesis, we are also excited about the launch of new minting contracts for Sector, Zone & Domain Territory NFTs. As we noted previously, 25% of all revenue generated from Gravity Grade Pack & Cargo Drop sales flow back into the Planet IX economy as a separate rewards pool for Territory NFT stakers, therefore these more advanced Territory NFTs will yield even greater rewards.

Reward Pool

This new reward pool is synergized with the release of the Cargo Drops on September 5th that will include the anniversary GG pack, lucky cat metashare and a loot crate. We believe that the reward pool generated from pack sales and Cargo Drops will be quite substantial and players should plan accordingly in order to enjoy a share of the rewards.

Rewards in the staking pool are calculated as a function of the rarity and level of the Territory NFT staked. For example, a Domain NFT made up of legendary PIX will generate far greater rewards than an Area NFT made up of outlier PIX. Refer to the table below for the split of the staking pool by territory level and rarity:

The new minting contracts for Sector, Zone & Domain Territory NFTs went live on Thursday August 18th and the staking contract for these new territories will go live on Friday August 26th.

Staking Pool Design

Our staking reward pools are designed for longevity as we want new players and veteran players alike to reap the rewards, especially for the more advanced territory NFTs (i.e Legendary domains). Therefore, it was important for us to design a system where players are rewarded heavily for expending the time and effort into building advanced Territory NFTs. These territories will have higher rewards , but those rewards will be paid out over longer periods of time. Refer to the table below for details over the payouts associated with each tier and level of Territory NFTs:

In developing our staking model for Territory NFts, we stayed cognizant of the scalability and rate of growth of our ecosystem. We want to ensure that Planet IX is fun and enjoyable for different types of gamers, and to do so we need to aim for longevity. Territory NFTs have been a powerful in-game asset since the launch of the Area Territory NFT minting contract, but they are about to become even stronger. Remember to always check incoming bids, and continue forming territory NFTs to grab a share of the rewards.
