Community Update

Hey everyone,

IX Meteora launched on March 9, and it has been incredible seeing so many of you piloting your drones through the meteor showers on the Base App. We’ve been closely monitoring your feedback from these first few days. While we are thrilled that many of you find the game to have "pure energy" and is "very fun," we want to acknowledge the initial reactions and share how we are iterating to improve the experience.

Initial Reactions & Improvements

Gameplay Pacing & Skill: We’ve heard clearly that the current 30-second Harvesting Stage feels too short for many of you to fully engage with the mechanics. Players have requested more room for individual skill to shine. We are currently evaluating "In-Game Extensions," such as time-boost items or bonus seconds for specific crystal harvests, to reward precise piloting and extend your sessions.

Economy & Accessibility: Feedback regarding the credit balance—specifically the daily 50-credit allowance versus the 25-credit cost per play—has been noted. We want the game to be accessible for both new pilots and our "hardcore" community. We are reviewing the credit distribution model to ensure that players have sufficient opportunities to engage with the loop of harvesting, refining, and staking.

Technical Polish: We are aware of the "Gas Fee Bug" causing friction after multiple rounds of play. We know the current workaround of clearing caches is frustrating. Resolving this technical friction is a priority to ensure the mobile gameplay remains as streamlined and intuitive as intended.

What’s Coming Next

Meteora is built to evolve. Phase One is just the beta test, and we are working hard on features that will deepen the strategy:

• Skill Trees: You will soon be able to upgrade your harvester drones and refineries, allowing for longer expeditions and higher output.
• Loot Crates: Rare onchain assets will begin dropping mid-flight, introducing a "risk vs. reward" tactical layer to every run.
• Leaderboards: For those who play to compete, a leaderboard system is on the way to reward the top performers in the ecosystem.
• Drone Customization: You’ll soon be able to move beyond basic designs to showcase your status with unique visual upgrades.

The Journey to Season 2

Your confidence in the direction of Planet IX is what drives us. Every piece of feedback helps us refine the experience as we head toward the larger Season 2 launch. We’ll have more to share soon regarding quality-of-life updates and the rollout of our progression systems.
